Halsted Street, Chicago - Map Free Admission The Stand-up to AIPAC Forum is part of a series of events to protest the AIPAC National Summit scheduled in Chicago on October 26-27 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. The America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and related institutions (known as the "Israel Lobby") support a dangerous status quo, including support for over $3 billion a year in U.S. military aid to Israel. We will examine its support for the worst of Israeli policies and its promotion of further U.S. military action in Iran. Speakers Include
“...the U.S. Congress is despicable in its silence…If this were happening in any other country by any other country, there would be speeches on the floor of Congress, legislation introduced to stop aid and other help to whomever would be committing this cruelty. But since their campaign money comes from the Israeli lobby, we hear only silence.”
“Empowered by American money, Israel is occupying land that does not belong to it, is breaking numerous international laws, and is promulgating policies of brutality …Through money and weaponry provided by the United States, Israel is imposing an ethnically discriminatory nation on land that was previously multicultural. There is ethnic and religious discrimination inherent in its national identity, and a doctrine of the supremacy of one group over all others permeates its political, financial, and military policies.”
